Presentation for a few friends and coworkers
« on: December 15, 2014, 08:28:03 PM »
A few of our friends and some of my wife's coworkers have been asking us to talk through a few finance topics at an upcoming potluck.  It sounds horribly boring for all involved, so I tried to make it a little bit of fun with this slideshare:

There isn't enough information for this to be useful without some narration.   If anybody else can get some use out of it, have fun spreading some mustache seeds.

Thanks so much.  This is really great.  Hopefully it will be eye-opening for your friends and coworkers.

Cheers,

That's terrific.  Well done.
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.

Nice. And in such a small number of slides!

Cool -- it's a bit wierd that you say:

"only one number matters: savings as a % of pay"

and then a few slides later you say:

"financial advisers talk about 85% of your income, but they should talk about 25x your expenses"

Love the slide show! And I LOVE that your crew's idea of entertainment is a pot luck and talking about frugality!
