Title: Mustachian romantic gesture?
Post by: Mika M on June 09, 2015, 10:22:20 AM
DH takes care of the mortgage payments; I've got a bit of spare cash piled up so for a wedding anniversary gift this year I threw 1500 on the principal.

Anybody else got a good one?

Love it!  One non-Mustachian thing I enjoy spending money on is locally made cards for special occasions (birthdays, babies, condolences etc).  My wife happens to think they are a huge waste of money.  So, for our anniversary I told her I saw the perfect anniversary card, and my gift to her was not buying it.  She didn't get me a gift either- just like I wanted!

I love the no-card gift.  My wife and I sometimes "exchange" cards in a store. We will pick one we like, give it to the other person, then put it back.

I would be happy with a principal payment, too!

My gf is a nanny, and the mother of one of the children paints as a hobby. Gf got her to paint my son based off my favorite picture of him and gave it to me for (early) Father's Day. Still blown away by how great it looks and how thoughtful that was :)
