Minor Badassity: Repaired bathroom mirror
« on: February 02, 2015, 01:33:49 PM »
Here's a very minor piece of badassity, but it's a start at being handy.  A bolted on piece of metal attached to the hinge on the bathroom mirror completely broke off the other night.  This is a situation where in the past I would have thought of replacing the mirror.  Instead, I got some 2500 psi epoxy and reattached the metal to the wood.  So far, it's working just fine.  Like I said, minor stuff, but satisfying.

Next up will be repairing our garage door opening mechanism.  Wish me luck!

Oh that type of thing is so satisfying, MoneyCat!  I started the "replacement over buying" mindset shift last fall and it sure makes a difference in the budget.  Congrats on your mirror badassity and hope that garage door mechanism is another winner in your pursuit of handiness badassity  :)
