mini-snowbirds update
« on: May 08, 2015, 09:00:05 AM »
My wife and I live in Florida, but are spending the summer in the Denver area. I got here on April 26th, so its been almost 2 weeks. We have a 5th wheel trailer parked in the front yard behind some shaded trees. My sister-in-law lives on 2 acres, 20 minutes east of Boulder. My job is to build a garden this summer.

Even though it's currently a little cold and rainy, it's been awesome. I've been snowboarding a few times at A-Basin and plan to go a lot next week based on lots of snow expected this weekend. I was a little disappointed that my baseball and softball games have been cancelled.

Our friends have been very supportive. I think it helps when I tell my friends that we will be living in a trailer. If we rented a house we might get accused of being rich. Classes start in Florida on August 19th. As a result, I will be leaving in the morning on August 17th.

20 minutes east of Boulder... love that area. Great place for the SIL to have some acreage.

I went to the Boulder skatepark yesterday and then Snarf's for lunch. I was in heaven. The only thing on my to-do list for today is to go to Costco. I will probably go around noon, which is usually the least crowded. I love living off-peak.
