Bixby is the badass in my book... but her human Mike is one of us for sure...
I ran into Mike and Bixby last night in the Belltown Pub in Seattle.
Bixby is on a cross-country cycling trip with her human Mike - Bixby is a rescue dog, and she travels the country promoting adoption of rescue animals, and human powered travel. They started in Maine, bumped into a friend of mine in Orange Beach, AL in February, and in October they're in Seattle.
Monday, they'll be at a press conference at King County's animal shelter in Bellevue, WA promoting rescue dog adoption.
Bixby is longing to travel to California via Portland for the winter months, so Mike is dutifully pedaling her there on her next adventure, and accepting couch's, meals, beers - whatever - on the trip.
