Good job on saving a ton of money by fixing it yourself. Next time check the Internet for the part too. I recently had to replace the drain pump on my front loader. I found the part locally for roughly $140, but ended up purchasing it from Amazon for roughly $35.
Nevertheless, you probably still saved a couple hundred bucks in labor + markup on the part.
