Title: Kept our money from being flushed down the toilet!

My first mustacian project of 2016!!

We heard water dripping from our 1/2 bath and discovered water leaking from the toilet tank.
First step...shut off the water.
Second step.....watch You Tube videos to diagnose the problem (faulty fill valve)
Third...send husband to local hardware store for replacement part (cost was $11. We probably could have gotten it cheaper from Home Depot but we like to support our mom and pop shop)
Lastly....replace part, all you myself

I know this isn't a huge project, but for me it's HUGE! Plus, we saved over $70 by not having to call the plumber.

Makes me more confident to tackle other projects this year

I have a love/hate relationship with plumbing.  I hate doing it, but love having the ability.  I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars I've saved by learning plumbing 20 years ago.
