Just been through the ridiculous process with BT in the UK to cancel their BT TV service and BT Sports. This service should be free (mine is £2/month for some reason) if you have BT Broadband. A £9 charge popped up on my bill.
This company take 20+ minutes to answer the phone (We are extremely busy at the moment. Please hold, your call is important to us ...). Finally I am told that the charge was a "technical error". I said I would like to cancel the service as I don't want to spend my time chasing their technical errors. We'll put you through to cancellations they say. Cancellation department do their best to stop me cancelling. But it's free they say. Please cancel I say. What about other family members they say. Please cancel I say. There's a cancellation charge (£12.13). Please cancel I say.
Finally it's cancelled, and I feel great! Can't wait to get that box out of my lounge.
