i used to blow my spending money in 2 days after i got paid. now its been 1 week and i still have the $40 bi monthly allowance in there! its small but i know its a start of something BIG! 

by the way, i just paid off my long time loan from a friend this month too.. $700 :D and it feels so good

Yes it is a start, but it is the key piece: spending less than you earn.
