after years of people telling me about ebates, I finally just joined and amassed $10 with Christmas shopping quickly with their increased rebates at some stores.  I have to be careful though, sometimes the Discover cash back percentage reward is higher than ebates.

If you're paying with your discover card when you open your ebates shopping page, you can double dip. That's what I do with my Amex.

But how do you do that when there is not just the quarterly 5% off dept stores thing but also a Shop Rewards, where you shop through the Discover site and get an extra 5-10% off?  IDK how you could shop through both sites, kwim?

Oh ok I see what you're saying. I don't have discover cards so I didn't know you had to shop through their site. In that case than you would make more cash back with discover but those without would be able to double dip with their cards.
