I finally called my internet (cable) provider today and got the specific make/model on our cable modem and ordered one online for $25. This after years of renting one for $5/month. Yes - I've thought about doing this several times over the past few years but could never get good information from customer service. And also, this was a little lower on the totem pole than the big stuff.
Also, we're getting ready to travel for a few weeks so I made sure to cancel Netflix and Spotify Premium. (The latter is a splurge I allow myself to keep from buying albums and also it allows me to listen to any music I want while I work out.)
