Title: I could pay off my mortgage
Post by: Cecil on July 18, 2013, 08:02:10 PM
As of this evening, my total balance in all my accessible investment accounts is $164,434, and my mortgage balance is $163,098.

Which means in theory I could become completely debt-free next week! That's a very very freeing thought. Just the possibility that I could through them off is enough to make the chains feel lighter.

(Of course I won't actually do this, because I'm only paying 2.2% on the mortgage. But I *could*!)

Wow, congratulations! Will this change the way you divvy up your assets risk-wise?
