I don't expect to stay here (over the millionaire threshold) long, but I'll have a cup of coffee while I'm here. I've had some great returns in some individual stocks that I own. Depending on how the market goes in the very near term, I fully expect to vacillate back and forth over the line, but it was so awesome to check my accounts mid morning and see that I'd peeked my nose just up and over the line.
This doesn't take into account any firm assets I have that are not liquid. Next goal is $2MM and to begin investing a little more time in generating some more passive income. I'm personally too levered for my liking to the whims of the market and there's just some really weird (from a historical financial perspective) things going on right now that it's not in any way clear to me how it will play out. We'll worry about that for another day though.
Tonight I sip my drinks as a newly minted millionaire!
PS If you've been following this thread at all the last 2 months, you know that this happened faster than I expected but I knew it was certainly possible depending on the markets and my stock investments. That said, it's a great example of how compounding works and the power of large numbers to make $10,000, $25,000, $75,000 appear in a rather short amount of time. I can only imagine how someone that had $10,000,000 or some super large number like that must feel when looking at their portfolios. If you manage lifestyle inflation, the benefits can become enormous.
