Hit 500k! net worth

Added up the spreadsheet values and we hit the 500,000 net worth mark.

I've been a mustachian since nearly the beginning of the blog. One income household, two kids, started making less than 60k per year combined and only recently passed the 100k per year income mark. We started with 45k in student loans and zero assets between us. This is possible for anyone, not just high income dual earning households with no kids. Just want to encourage all of you out there on the journey, keep up the good work. We still have several years left until FI but it feels good to see the plan working.

Good work! I second your statement that anyone can do it. I have been truckin' away since relatively early MMM days, and started when my three kids were young. 1 income family, yet to hit 100k yearly earnings... single parent with 3 kids... and student debt. I also just hit my $500k net worth number :) now my kids are older and starting to fledged.... I expect to have more cash to put away once I'm done paying for kids sports and whatnot :)

Great job! I consider this the third big goal post.

The first one is getting to net worth of $0. For a lot of people that is a huge hurdle and takes forever.

Then once you get there, it’s a slog to get to $100,000. After that it’s a little less of a slog to get to half 1 million. The other goalpost will come faster so congratulations you’re on your way!
