The Good News, folks:
My car recently crapped out! (a 2005 Chevy Cobalt, so go figure). Why's this good news? Because now I can stop punching myself in the face for lazily defaulting to the car every time I needed to go somewhere.
But wait there's more...
And the really good news: I just landed a sweet gig at a company as a Content Specialist (I graduated with a film degree ;), making a handsome 5 figures... oh, and the place is 2.4 mi. from my 700 sq. ft., 1 bedroom apt! Cha-CHING!
So, the way I see it (thanks to MMM tutelage and the inspiration of you fine folks on the forum), in the span of a few days, I've managed to:
- land a sweet gig
- grab a decent salary
- cut my commute cost to 0 (which incidentally increases my "salary")
- stop polluting the environment with my dirty vehicle
- stop using the worst Chevy product ever invented
- shed some lbs. while enjoying fresh air
- AND wickedly grin at the dejected looks on driver's faces as I scream by at 14-16 mph while they idle their cars in a gridlock
Anyway, so darn happy, I thought I'd share! :)
I'm starting to feel like ER is just around the corner.
