Today, I have made a milestone.
8 years ago, I entered college and lived an experience. Sadly, I wish I could have done things differently with the financial knowledge I have now.
4 years ago, I was a degree holder with no job for the 6 months after graduation. With no luck in my favor, I joined the US Army to serve my country, better myself, and to pay back my debts to society.
3 years ago, I realized the horror of letting a family member with whom I thought had financial knowledge delve me into a year's loss of paying principle back on these loans.
Those same 3 years ago, I started what was a long battle with fighting off over $40,000 in debt from student loans.
Today, after 3 years, I made my last payment of $3,300 from a month of gains including tax returns, added income from bonus, and returned payments for trip expenses a few months prior.
Today, I am officially debt free!!!
