So, not sure if this can truly be considered badass but I'm proud, nonetheless...
I got a fairly healthy Christmas bonus this year and used 99% of it to (almost) pay off my student loans.  I succumbed to the "I deserve this" syndrome and took the extra 1% to treat myself to something at REI.

Well, short story short, after wandering around the store for an hour, I literally couldn't find anything that I felt was worthy of my money.  So I ended up taking the extra 1% and putting that towards my student loans, as well.

Just feels so damn good to know how far I've come...a year ago I probably would have spent the money before I had it and now I can't even spend it when I'm trying to!

Thanks man.  I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but it's not even the fact that I'm saving the money...it's the fact that I don't feel a need to spend it!
