2 weeks in, it itches like crazy, but it's nice to not have to shave in the mornings!

I was hoping a "beard" was some other financial thing, like a 'stache but different?

Facial hair is good too, though.

I started growing a beard to cheese them off at work just before I retired.  But now DW likes it, so it's about 5 months and going strong.

I just hope folks realize that I'm a redneck and not a damned hipster!

Shampoo the beard instead of using soap. It helps a ton.

The Wahl Peanut is an excellent trimmer.

For work purposes the best time to grow is a beard is when you are on vacation or some other type of extended leave. Basically to look professional at work (unless of course you work from home and do not interact with clients) it is either clean shaven or a beard but to grow a beard you have to go through that unprofessional scruffy period.

Just use double ended safety razors and regular soap.  I probably spend about 3$ on shaving stuff a year.  Tried the beard thing, but they get intolerably itchy for me.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
