I was looking over my Uverse bill this morning and noticed there was a $6 charge for home wiring protection. I had no idea what this was. I looked around for a minute and discovered this was basically a "service" AT&T had enrolled me in to insure the wiring in my home. If the wiring has a problem, they'll fix it for free. I went back to old bills and found that they just added this a couple months ago when I dropped my TV service. Needless to say, I promptly had them cancel this valuable "service" and refund what I had already paid for it.
Is this common knowledge and am I just the last one to get a clue?
Bastards.
