Fortress of Solitude
« on: February 20, 2015, 06:11:48 AM »
The first half of my life has been devoted to building my "fortress of solitude" (as explained by Goodman).

(John Goodman in The Gambler): http://youtu.be/xdfeXqHFmPI

I feel a lightness of being. A strange euphoric mental state.

The second half of my life will be devoted to taking on crazy long (moon) shots. Small limited downside with gargantuan upside.

Thinking about how to go about this. Any ideas?

What do you mean by "crazy long moon shots"? I have my fortress of solitude, too. It gives me freedom and peace of mind, which sounds like what you just posted, MacBury. For me, it lets me read, write, walk, do Convict Conditioning in the middle of the day if I want to, do a little music…I guess working on my novel is my "crazy moon shot."
