Forgot my jeep at work
« on: March 09, 2013, 02:57:38 PM »
First off, I know a jeep is not a mustachian vehicle to own, but I bought it before learning the mustachian way and I don't drive it very much.

Anyway, I recently bought a house that is a 5 minute walk from my work, yay! Thursday evening I drove to my parents house 13 miles away to visit (I don't like to bike very far in the dark). I stayed the night there and drove to work in the morning. Then I forgot about my jeep, walked home for lunch, back to work, then walked home at the end of the day. Didn't remember that my jeep was still at work till this morning.

Haha!

I can totally relate to that!  I've been commuting to work using public transportation for over a year now, and the few times I've brought my car to work I've almost forgotten about it.  I have a ten minute walk to the train stop and always catch myself at the half-way point.

Everytime I almost-forget my car I get a warm fuzzy feeling, like "I could totally lose the car tomorrow and it wouldn't matter all that much, good job!"

So, kudos to you Josh!

For me, usually those situations involved copious amounts of alcohol...

But it sure is nice to have that "commute"!

Warm and fuzzy indeed! Thanks.

I love it! It's also nice to do lunch at home so I don't have to pack it.
