Fixed my instant pot!
« on: April 14, 2025, 11:58:11 AM »
My instant pot didn't work at all, giving me a CH6 type error message. I watched a youtube video about diagnosis. Ordered a new pressure sensor off Amazon. Watched another youtube video. Went into the guts of the IP and replaced the pressure sensor, only dropping screws into the nether regions of the pot twice. Put it all back together, plugged it in, and it works!
This is a big deal for me. I'm a nerdy old academic with soft hands and absolutely no confidence in my technical/manual ability.

This is fantastic!  Not only did you fix your Instant Pot, but now the rest of us know it’s possible to fix an IP with that error code — thanks!

awesome!

and thank you to all those youtubers uploading fix videos.

Our electric Eureka floor steamer stopped working. Wife watched a youtube video, asked me to order the electrical part. She wants to learn to replace it herself. She has zero technical ability when it comes to appliance or computer or electronics/mechanical repair. But as with investing, the next best time to learn is NOW!

That's pretty awesome!

I had an uncle who fixed a coffee maker once instead of buying a new one and i was impressed. Impressed by your instant pot fix!

Our air fryer died 5 days before the warranty expired. My wife called the number and we got a new one.
