Home made passenger bike seat
« on: July 17, 2014, 10:08:54 PM »
Some people noticed in previous posts of mine that I had a second seat on my bike, so I thought that I'd take pictures specifically of it.

Strong enough to carry my wife, soft enough to carry my 4 year old daughter.

I took a bike stem, attached it to my seat post, and cut part of the handle off a broom to make the handlebar. Cut off two pieces from a foam mat for the cushion and two zip ties to hold it on.

Total cost, $20 (all for the stem, which I bought new). Yes, I have to bend over more to hold the broom now - but I told my daughter it was her broom and now she sweeps the floor too - double win.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
