Biked to the grocery store for the first time today! We just moved and the store is a mile away, albeit down a partially unfinished road. The puddles we're small enough today that I could get there without mud bogging. The road will be getting finished soon so I need to start looking for a baby attachment so I can go on larger runs. :)

Congrats! It's a great feeling is it not?
I will be doing the same very soon, cheers.

Good on you! Imagine how it will all add up over each year, in terms of health, savings and wear and tear on your vehicle (assuming you have one).

You qualify now!

they sometimes get a little crabby though :\:)

Unfortunately we'll never be car free where we've moved. The main road in the area is a highway that is totally unsafe to bike on. However, core services like grocery, pharmacy, post office, bank are in a shopping center that we can bike to.
We are using cars way less now. We'll be selling mine soon and outside of travel I think we'll only be using a tank of gas a month since my wife now works from home. Wins all around!

Some debate on that forum is car free vs. car light. Hey, anybody who rides to replace trips is doing great in my book! So, even bike light is better than not riding at all.

Just made my first bike ride to the grocery store with my hubby!!!
