Made $107 from Amazon and $400 from Travel Service
« on: September 18, 2017, 12:27:40 AM »
Hi there. I'm proud of myself today. I have a Wii with a Guitar Hero guitar and a PS3 with Guitar Hero guitar left over from my college days. Today I found out you can trade these in to get store credit at Amazon. I was going to gift them for free until I learned I could get $107 for everything, minus the PS3. I'm holding out until November to see if I can get more for the PS3. It's a 60GB fat model that's backwards compatible with PS2 and people are proud of it (previously sold on eBay & Amazon).

On top of that, I made a heaping $400 in gift cards using a travel service to book my flight and hotel simultaneously. The cost was a little bit higher than if I would have booked each separately, but I stayed under budget.

Oh yea, I listed 3 graphing calculators on eBay (TI-89, TI-84, and TI-83). I have a 4th one, but the backup battery needs replacing to make it work. I'm a calculator fiend :-).

Awesome work!

Didn't know that about the store credit. Considering the amounts of Guitar Hero-stuff here, I really should look into it.

It's definitely worth looking into. I got $31 for PS3 Guitar Hero 5 controller only, and $21 for Wii Guitar Hero 3 bundle. I gathered up all I could find because we have too much stuff.

Badass!

Wow I had no idea the Fat Ps3 were worth so much.

I'm still rocking a Fat Ps3 as the 'media center' in my home theater. Real nice blu-ray player, smooth apps for Youtube, Amazon, runs like a champ. Pretty awesome for a 10+ year old piece of tech!

60 G was the only one backwards compatible to use PS-2, PS-1 games, right?  That's the holy grail of PS-3's.

(we had a ps-3 but I think it was the 40 G)
