Okay, it's not a the most badass, but I'm so relieved to be done overpaying for phone/text/data I don't really use.
Three months ago, I made the jump from Sprint to Ting. (We picked Ting so we could BYOD instead of buying new phones on Fi or Revolution.) However, I still had a stupid Galaxy tablet under contract for another month. So instead of paying $100+ to kill the tablet plan, I opted to just pay $10+taxes for one more month of tablet data. Fine.
Well it turns out that Sprint doesn't refund you for unused plan if you cancel it early. So as a fluke of timings between my billing cycle and when I called to cancel the tablet plan (which was the very day the contract ended), I ended up paying for 3 months of a tablet I don't use ($30+taxes). Today I just got the final "You've made changes to your account" e-mail from Sprint, and I just confirmed on their website that I have 0 devices on my account!
So now I can (finally) officially say I saved $120/month by switching to Ting!
ETA - Here's my referral code if anyone else is ready to make the jump:
