I asked for a raise last week... for the first time in my life. My boss said she'd look into it. The next day she said she had reviewed my compensation, thought it was "unfair" and gave me a 30% raise.
I was more than a little bit excited.
Once the paperwork went through I calculated the after-tax change in my paycheck and bumped up my automatic savings by the same amount in an effort to resist lifestyle inflation.
Thanks to MMM and everyone on this forum for inspiring me to do both of these things :)
