Mr Pol has had that Levis denim shirt for a long time. It was originally black, but over the years has faded to a dull gray. He’s very attached to it, and thought Levis was still selling them. Alas no!
Apart from the fading issue, the shirt is still in good shape. So I thought I’d try to dye it back to black.
I used some Dylon black dye for the washing machine, followed scrupulously the instructions, and lo and behold, the shirt has just come out of the machine utterly black and looking brand new!
This an easy way to bring some life back into older clothes but still in good shape.
