Craigslist cash
« on: August 03, 2012, 08:23:03 AM »
Yesterday, on a whim, I clicked on the labor tab of the "gigs" section on my local craigslist (SF Bay Area).  A listing there was asking for somebody with a truck to help with a move that evening.

I sent them an e-mail that I was available after work and could do it for $25/hr + gas. I received a reply in the early afternoon confirming they needed my help that evening around 7pm.

I spent about 3 hours (including commute) doing a relatively easy move, met a couple new people, and came home with $80.  This was completely different than my regular desk job, so the variety didn't feel like the drudgery of regular work.  I'm feeling pretty good about it!

Yeah, I actually skipped my usual workout yesterday afternoon.  I'll get it done today after work, and feel extra good about it since I'm $80 richer :)
