Convinced a coworker not to buy a new car
« on: February 17, 2017, 07:23:31 AM »
He had an older car with higher miles that was in need of a several hundred dollar repair. We were talking about it and how he was looking at getting something else, brand new. I explained the difference in price per mile he would pay; $.50+ versus current ~$.15 and considering his commute the repair could pay for itself in less than two weeks.

Took the car to his longtime mechanic and they realized they had previously missed up (honest mechanic!) and fixed it for free!

Boom! and that folks, is how it is done.

Hell yeah! Even though sometimes they don't want to hear it, I love helping a friend make the smart choice when they are ready to listen
