Title: Christmas Gifts
Post by: meadow lark on November 23, 2015, 07:09:37 AM
Hoping we can share what we are doing to make a festive and frugal Christmas.  So far I have made a jacket out of a sweatshirt (added ribbon) for my Secret Santa ($21) and made ornaments for coworkers.  (About $1.25). We wear headsets because it is a nurse call center.

Very cute!  My manager always made all of her workers handmade presents every Christmas.  She and her daughter always made them together so they also enjoyed quality time while making them.  We always pooled our money together and gave her cash.  Surprisingly, due to bad decisions on spending and a husband that wouldn't work, she was poorer than most of her workers even though she made more than us.  So we knew the cash was needed.  We all enjoyed the creative things she came up with every year and were happy to help her by giving her money.

I don't miss the work, (I'm retired now), but I do miss my coworkers.
