Awesome story. I'm glad duke didn't kick him off campus but as a private high cost university I can see why they made a law banning it.

Pretty cool story. I have a brother who lives in Alaska and has a Cabin in Cold foot. See these stories pop up more and more and if you ever watched dual survivor before they got rid of Cody I remember him saying once in an episode he lived in a dead tree trunk for a time while at college in Arizona.  Plus people go for years living and working driving trucks. There like mini-homes now. More and More retired couples are running teams/trucks getting paid to see the country. Drivers are hard to find so companies have made that part of it a desire for some. Run a trip have some time off and so on.

Yeah, this was big news a few years ago.

I'm sure we have a thread or two on it already if you dig around in the forums.

I read the book a couple months back, Walden on Wheels.

Quick read, fairly entertaining.
I am a former teacher who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, spent some time traveling the world full time and am now settled with three kids.
If you want to know more about me, this Business Insider profile tells the story pretty well.
I (rarely) blog at AdventuringAlong.com. Check out the Now page to see what I'm up to currently.
