Camping in a Honda Fit

Surrounded by Ford pickups, luxury Jeep SUVs, Honda Pilots... yes the roads were dirt and stone, and even a few muddy spots. We survived.

Just the two of us on our honeymoon, but we did sleep in the Fit on the first night. (We glamped up after that and used an air mattress :-P)

Sweet! We just took the family of 4 on a week long camping trip in the Carolla.  Always blows my mind when I walk through campgrounds and look at all the $100k+ rigs that get 5mpg.

We camp out of a similar sized Kia or Honda. Never an issue. Plenty of room for chairs, gear, cooler, all kinds of comforts. Just setup a tent and put the camping pads, sleeping bags and other gear in there and then set the chairs and gril out and the car is almost empty again (other than food, which is kept inside).

Yes - we have two small coolers, camp chairs, myriad coffee supplies :), a few bundles of firewood..., bedding, etc. No problem! And it was fun zooming through the muddy spots along the way!

I congratulate you both on each finding the mustachian partner of your dreams.  We have been tent camping in our Honda Civic for years and really enjoy walking around the campground speculating how much people must owe on all those mighty pickup trucks and RVs.
