Buying, selling and fixing Cell Phones
« on: January 16, 2019, 03:40:29 PM »
Just before the holidays Total Wireless had an Ebates rebate of 62% for their store.  I bought a Moto G6 for $250 and a Samsung J Crown for $150.  The Ebates was a total of $248.  Including the 1% back on my credit card I paid $152 for the two phones.  I placed them on Ebay and in less than a day I sold them for a total of $300.  So for maybe an hours worth of work I made $148.

As easy as they sold I should have bought a bunch of them.

Also, bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 for about $400 current retail $900.  A week later managed to crack the back of the case.  A repair store wanted $85 to repair.  I watched a couple youtube videos and bought the part on Ebay for $12 and replaced it myself.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
