So in the last few months I have found my local buy nothing group on Facebook and I'm blown away! What a great community, if you search buy nothing and your city or neighborhood name, you can probably find it.

Things I've given, - mirrors, baby clothes, blinds, doorknobs, pregnancy items, woman's clothing, sunglasses etc.

Things I've acquired - most of all my baby clothes for the next 2 years including snow suits (crazy I know!), futon, rocking chair, light fixture, light bulbs, baby toys (jumper, seat), plants etc.

The best give was a near new rocking chair in great condition and faux leather so easy to wipe down!

Over the summer, I've saved so much money by looking on the group first or making a request. We had no furniture downstairs at our new house and was able to get some lightly used furniture. Most of my new babies clothes and toys are from the site and when I'm done I will regift them!

What has been the best thing received or given?

I probably wouldn't have dared cloth diapers unless we'd gotten a set of newborn-size diapers and covers through our BN group. I loved them. I bought a set of Kawaii Baby diapers after that and we've saved hundreds of dollars.

Tons of baby stuff.
A bookshelf
A 23-pack of specialty beer.
Lots of books

That's awesome! I did get some cloth diapers from a friend but it turns out they weren't for me...
