You are more awesome than I will ever be.

...

... unless I move closer to work so I can actually bike. But even still it'll take quite a few years to catch up :)

Impressed! I'm just one decimal behind you -- 2,700 miles over 16 months. I'll catch up in about 7 years if I can keep it up. Keep rolling.

Well done!  I started biking to work a few days a week last summer.  I think I've got in the low 1,000s.

That's so cool! I use one bike for everything, so I don't know how many of my miles are to work and how many for errands, touring, and recreational rides. I'd guess over 1/3 are to work. I just hit 12,000 miles on my bike since 2008. So I have a few years yet to get to 20K-- but the 1500 miles of the 40 State Parks tour that my dad & I are doing this spring will help!

Just this year? If so, I'd say move closer to work!

Since I know this has taken you several years, congrats. I rode ~3,500 miles this year commuting, but don't keep track enough to know the totals for the last 6 years that I've been riding.

My goal, which I've reached the last 2 years is to put more commuting miles on my bike than my car. My job requires I be mobile some days, so I can't ride everyday, but 4/5 ain't bad.

Before ER, I biked to work over 50,000 miles in about 20 years of commuting 6 miles each way.  It adds up and the hour a day of activity pays big health dividends.
