A weekend of Badassity!
Badassity #1:
MiniMustache wore her bike tire out (as in, to the threads, that's pretty badass by itself) then boom! This made her sad. BTW this was a free used bike from a friend.
She (with some assistance) replaced the tire/tube (from another, used, free donor bike).
The new front tire is, she says, 'much better and faster than the old one' and brings great joy.
Badassity #2
The pull rope disintegrated on my 20+yr old Stihl backpack blower. The new official part is something like $15. It's
rope. $4 for 20ft of 'paracord' via Amazon, a helpful 4yr old, and we're in business.
Badassity #3
The same helpful 4yr old helped fix a nice craigslist Stihl trimmer. These are about $250 new, I purchased it in excellent condition but not running, for $40. Some new fuel line and a carb cleaning, and it's back in business.
Badassity #4
Sons 1 & 2 utilize the repaired trimmer (and a nice used Honda mower) to earn $55 over the weekend. Son #1 has been earning money via allowance and chores for neighbors for several years, and now has about $1,100 in Vanguard STAR fund. This is real money, his, earned. Son 2 is on year 2 of earnings and is up to about $350. Future millionaires!
We're all badassed out.
