Awesome Financial Month
« on: April 11, 2019, 07:51:39 AM »
Old job paid out a $20k bonus, new job has $12K raise and a $10K sign-on bonus.

While updating my quarterly tracking spreadsheet I found that we crossed $600K in retirement savings.  This basically means I can be done saving for retirement if I want to, and still very comfortably retire before I turn 50 in 12 years.  Having a hard time processing what this means...I've always been a worker and a saver.

I know what you mean about being a worker and saver, well I'm sure most mmm readers are worker and savers. I splurged on a stupid car purchase, turned out to be a bad idea, and went against my way of thinking. So the sold the car, much happier now. If you slowed down on savings a bit, may be spend more on experiences. Regardless, congrats on crushing it!

Nicely done.

This sparked an idea: could be a market for pre-FIRE therapists. There are definitely some real mental struggles/experiences that go along with FIRE life activities.

ETA: Actually, that is probably the main function of this forum. Ha!
