Anti-consumerism June, woo!
« on: June 30, 2013, 09:52:24 AM »
Just checked over my bank statement for June, and the only 'things' I purchased that weren't food were replacement parts for my bike (new fender mounts and a new inner-tube), which I installed myself.  In May, the only purchase was a pair of black trousers to go to a scholarship interview.  They were new, so £40 =\ but I did get £3000 worth of scholarship money out of it.  Yeah!

This is great! It's crazy to think how few people go a month without buying unnecessary stuff... my pre-stached self would think it was odd to go a week.

So far July has been going great for me! ;)

In all seriousness, though, I moved cross country about a month ago and there was a lot of small but necessary purchases that added up. I am very tired of spending money! I'm looking forward to having a nice, no-buy summer month.
