After a couple years of thinking I couldn't get below 300 kwh, we've finally done it! I'm not sure what exactly is causing the drop (besides fair weather), but I'll take it!
I also dodged a bullet, I had signed up to switch electric generation providers, but apparently left a digit out of our account number. They contacted me with very poorly written email (everything capitalized, zero punctuation) to get the right account number. After seeing the email, I investigated a little further. Looks like American Power and Gas is known to triple your rates after the first month, and you end up getting stuck with the ridiculous rates for a couple of months because it often takes a couple of billing cycles to switch providers. I thought I was safe because the company name was coming right off of the PA Public Utility Commission sponsored site that lets you compare providers. Sheesh!
Also, the email was from Bill Compton. Vampire Bill, if anyone watches True Blood. I guess it isn't totally unreasonable that there'd really be a Bill Compton out there, but anyway....
