Its been a lot and I mean a lot of hard work, well not really. I enjoyed every extra daily principal payment of it. For the last 2 years that I started this debt free voyage I would walk to the bank every day accept Sundays of course and I would make an extra principal payment whether it was 5 bucks or $2000 bucks. The funny part a huge portion os paying off the debt was all from credit card churning, lol I started off owing $115,000 23 short months ago. Now I'm down to $3,543.76 !!!!! Now I am not bragging, I am telling my story to motivate people to break the chains of debt and stress and have a much more happier stress free life !!!! On Sundays I must confess I go through mortgage withdrawals !!!! lol !!!!! Everyday I went to make a payment they always had free coffee at Chase Bank for like a free bonus !!!!! Good luck to all of you !!!!!

That's awesome!!!
When we were on the same path, we would frequently say "When we get the house paid off, can we [insert slightly expensive thing to do or buy]?" Like "When we get the house paid off, can we get the good peanut better instead of the cheap stuff?" We've had the house paid off for maybe 5 years now, and we still say goofy stuff like that. And the funny thing is that we never did/bought most of the stuff we talked about doing/buying when we got the house paid off. :)
Congrats!

Ya its a blast when your money from selling points hits your account at bank of america and then you take the cash out and walk across the street to Chase where my mortgage is and its like you beating up one bank to pay off the other bank. lol !!!!!

Wow that's great, congratulations. Do you have a celebration planned when you finally make that last payment?

Thanks so much for the congrats !!!!! Yes I'm going to have a mortgage burning party !!!! Im going to buy everyone in my family dinner since I will free up my $656.22 a month that my payment was. This is my primary residence that will be paid off. So I am using that $656.22 old payment towards the next one that I have to pay off. I have a few houses to knock out. 5 total !!!! MORE WORK TO DO !!!!!

Can you explain how you used credit cards to help you? I don't ever pay any interest on my credit cards so I do make a little cash with them. I get the impression that this is just a start. Thanks!

I don't see how anyone could use credit cards to pay off a house. Sounds like a cheap 2am in the morning infamercial. Don't believe everything that you hear.
