Wohoo! With the recent market rise our portfolio hit 1 million for the first time! Net worth is about 1.2.
We have been working and investing for just under 10 years and started with $160k in student loans, so total increase of 1.35 million.
Tentative plan of continuing to work/contribute at current rates until either age 40 or 2 million in investments and then cut back work to just cover expenses and get match and coast to RE. Hoping we will be FI by 45, but don't think we would realistically retire until kids graduate. Targeting 2.5-3 million as goal.
Currently adding about 85-90k/year to portfolio and 12-15k to principal mortgage payoff. HHI has floated around 250k; our hourly rates have gone up over time, but we cut back with having kids and paying off student loans to where we work about 32/hours week each. First world problem, but even 32 hours/week feels like too much!
Can't share with anyone in real life other than my spouse, but stoked to reach this milestone!!
