rental software & receipt scanner

What rental software do you like using to keep up with your income/expenses? Right now I am using just a regular excel spreadsheet. We have about 8 different units and are really terrible about keeping organized -  I am wondering if there is a better program out there to help automate it some. 

I am also considering a receipt scanner to get rid of the insane paper exploding in our house. Thoughts?

Wondering the same thing about a receipt scanner. There was a recent thread on this topic. I use https://www.simplifyem.com/  We have 10 units and have used them for four years. Happy so far but I'm not a spreadsheet person either.

With the simplifyem, does it pull transactions from your account to track or do you have to enter it manually?

I enter everything myself - not sure if that is an option or not.

I have never used it but Quicken has a Rental Property Manager product that looks like it would do everything you want.
