How about blogs?
It'd be great if there were a jlcollinsnh stock series of land lording, that would be amazing.
Most real estate blogs are crap, unfortunately. Wish they weren't, because I'm a big fan of the blog format.
Jeff Brown's blog used to be good before he went to video, a format I don't care for. But the archives have good stuff. -
http://bawldguy.com/Marty Boardman's site used to be good, but he stopped updating it. -
http://flippingphoenixhouses.com/J Scott's site, 123flip is great if you're a flipper or wannabe. -
http://www.123flip.com/blog/The bigger pockets blog is real hit or miss. Some of their authors are good, but a lot that Josh brought on after his consultant change up just flat out dot know a lot or are article fillers, without substance. -
http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/No real good land lording sites, unfortunately.
And an article series like JLCollins' stock series just isn't possible, IMO. Stock investing optimally is simple, at its core. He does a great job of laying it out. Real estate has so many more wrinkles, legalities, issues, etc. there's no way you could cover the necessary stuff in a short dozen or two series of posts.
Maybe one topic of real estate, out of dozens of key ones.
