Im not living there now, but what I am hearing from family and friends is that portland is getting really expensive (at least the city, not necessarily the towns/areas outside of it). I saw small old houses that would probably need to be torn down asking for over 300K when I was there last august. I guess the secret of what a great city it is finally got out.
