Title: Passive Real Estate Options

Hello!

I'm fairly new to this board so please excuse me if this has been discussed. Does anyone have experience with more passive real estate options such as real estate crowdfunding, REITs, end-to-end management companies (e.g. Home Union, Roofstock, etc.)? I would love to diversify my investment portfolio but am not looking to be an active landlord.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use Vanguard's real estate index fund (VGSLX) in my Roth IRA for this purpose.

Is that fund similar to REITs?

"This fund invests in real estate investment trusts." (https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/profile/VGSLX)  So, yes.

Just FYI, if you invest in VTSAX, you have almost 4% in various REITS (in 270 separate holdings).
