We rent a house, and there is a house directly in back of ours where the tenants are a real PITA. For ten years, they have been doing things like blocking our driveway, digging up our driveway, cutting our boundary hedges to the ground. Last week, it turned into a serious legal issue and we will be going to court. The other parties' landlord is aware that they are a problem in the neighborhood (we are not the only 'victims' here).
We've called him on the phone, our landlord has called him, and his response is something like, "The guy is nuts. Why don't you just stay away from him?"
Now that this matter is going to court, I'm wondering: Can this landlord be held in any way responsible for the action of his tenants?
