Title: Investing Rental Property Profits
Post by: Neo on May 07, 2017, 09:52:50 AM
Curious what folks do with their rental property profits. We are still in accumulation mode, but we end up with a lot of money sitting in a savings account while it builds toward the next down payment. Obviously we need to keep some cash handy for repairs and other costs, but what should I do with the nest egg while it builds up? I hate the idea of having significant cash sitting idle, even if it is building toward the next property purchase.

If you're talking <2 years to save up for your next DP, it's no different than any other short-term money - savings account (or CD). Anything else is going to be risky (which might be ok with you).
