Title: Funny landlording experience
Post by: Daleth on August 21, 2013, 04:25:30 PM
So I just rented a house to a bunch of grad students. This morning I got an email to which some photos were attached, showing how the bed one of them just bought is wedged right up against the radiator in his room. The headboard is pressed against the radiator, because he chose to orient his bed along the "vertical" axis of his room and to put it on a certain wall, instead of putting it on any of the other three walls or orienting it along the "horizontal" axis. His question was...

"Can you move the radiator?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Ha! Nope, business. Another field in which common sense can be helpful, though... so not a good sign for him there!

His early efforts at dealmaking would seem to be a failure....

You should reply the way my dad used to respond when I was a kid.   "Sure.  I'll do that the second Tuesday of next week."

Or, another favorite Dad-ism.   "Sure.  Some Tuesday."

When Dear Ole Dad retired about ten years ago, he finally got the boat he had wanted for decades.  It's named "Some Tuesday."

I love my Dad.
