I'm in the process of buying a rental property near Chicago, but I'm currently abroad (I'm a US citizen). I signed the contract via docusign without issue and awaiting for the seller to sign it.
In the meantime, I've got a loan from better.com and all is smooth so far. Will I eventually need to sign anything other than via docusign? My attorney mentioned I'll perhaps need a power of attorney. Will I be able to ship documents from abroad or sign via docusign? Or will I need to setup an appointment at the local US embassy for notary? Suggestions/thoughts are appreciated.
Curious if anyone knows or has done it before.
